The new baby quilt !

This is for the new baby coming next month. The first picture is actually the back of the quilt. The green square blocks are left overs from C & D's wedding quilt. I added the bright pink to balance the green and the white areas are a cute pink and green flowered print. The other blocks are embroidered animals in matching colors.  It took me a while to figure out what to do with the green blocks and how to add pink and make it appropiate for a baby girl. It was fun and I'm pleased with how the quilt turned out. 

My latest creation...

I made this quilt top in a class with a group my my quilting friends. If you look close you'll see dogs, cats, chickens, bees  and ladybugs. This one will fit a twin bed.

More quilts I've been working on ....

As you may know it sometimes takes me a long time to finish a quilt. These might be in the quilt top stage for a long long time since I don't have my quilting frame available nor do I really have the room for quilting here in my trailer. I quilted HJ's quilt on my machine here in the trailer and it was a real challenge. I was thinking it would be nice if any of you really like a quilt top that I've made, please let me know by email. That way, if I need a present for you, I just might get it done in time for your special day. Most of these are twin bed size or smaller. I will see if I can put the size or a better description with each picture. Thanks for looking!

Quilts I've been working on over the past 3 months...

HJ's quilt - Gears in motion

This is the quilt I made for HJ for Valentines Day. He says I've never made him a quilt. He can't say that anymore. Its called "gears in motion", the border and backing is an outdoorsy fabric with deer, fishing, camping, forest, etc. I think he likes it....

We will see how this goes!

I'm going to try blogging in order share with my family and friends a little bit about me, my hobbies and my travels with HJ and the dogs.
